The Year Ahead – October 24

In the January/February 2024 issue of Family Tree Magazine, they have introduced The Year Ahead, 366 genealogy tips will make 2024 your best research year yet by Lisa A Alzo. Lisa mapped out a day-by-day research plan.

October 24 – Create a family tribute video with free software Adobe Spark spark.adobe.com or iMovie then share with a relative.

You will need to create an account. My normal TIP: Always create an account using your email with an unique password. Don't use your Google, Facebook or Apple account, because if a hacker gets access to that account, then every account you created with that login will be compromised.

I seem to see these tribute video at people’s funerals. How nice it would be if we could present them to our love ones while they are still here with us. Christmas is two months away, perhaps you could do one as a Christmas gift to a love one.  For new parents, how about their child’s first year? How about, a recap of the school years for a recent graduate? Maybe you made an exciting new discovering in your research, you could create a short video showing those results. Let your imagination go wild. There are no wrong answers.
