In the January/February 2024 issue of Family Tree Magazine,

plan.
August 1 – Explore the resources of a public library in a
state different from your own.
If you are serious about research and your family didn’t
always live in only one state once they came to the United States, you really
need to see what other states offer for those researching remotely. The library
may have meetings for local genealogists that you might be able to contact and
find out what is available in their area and if anyone is willing to do lookups
and what it might costs. Perhaps they have local newspapers online for you to
view, do they have indexes to records that you can search online. The possibilities
of what you might find is endless.
