In the January/February 2024 issue of Family Tree Magazine, they have introduced The Year Ahead, 366 genealogy tips will make 2024 your best research year yet by Lisa A Alzo. Lisa mapped out a day-by-day research plan.

August 17 – Explore the history of your childhood home or an ancestor’s house. Check deeds and tax assessments.

This may require you to actually visit the courthouse for these records. Not sure where these records are? Start where people pay for their property taxes and see if they know what department keeps these records and what requirements are needed to access the records.
