In the January/February 2024 issue of Family Tree Magazine, they have introduced The Year Ahead, 366 genealogy tips will make 2024 your best research year yet by Lisa A Alzo. Lisa mapped out a day-by-day research plan.
July 16 – Organize the bookmarks in your web browser.
Create folders: Group bookmarks into categories by creating
folders. For example: in Google Chrome, you can right-click on the bookmarks
bar, select Add Folder, name the folder and chose where to save it. You can
then drag bookmarks into the folder.
For genealogy, you might want to group by subject, location,
record type, etc. I have bookmarks to research sites, how to use various
genealogy software programs, DNA, DAR (Daughter’s of the America Revolution), and
some are how to do articles.
Check out Control Alt Achieve for managing your Google Chrome bookmarks.
Remember to have fun and Just do Genealogy!
