In the January/February 2024 issue of Family Tree Magazine, they have introduced The Year Ahead, 366 genealogy tips will make 2024 your best research year yet by Lisa A Alzo. Lisa mapped out a day-by-day research plan.
July 23 – Make a list of your most-used genealogy websites. Create a bookmarks folder for them in your web browser, or hyperlink them in a Word document for quick access.
I like the idea of a Word or Excel document; you can even store it on your desktop for quick access. By creating a document, you can add a description of the website, perhaps notes on what branch of the family it might be useful for. You can easily organize your hyperlinks and create categories for reference. I know I can organize my bookmarks by folders on my web browser, but being able to add that description of the website can be very useful.
Remember to have fun and Just do Genealogy!
